The Chapel Gúna is a statement in transformation, designed with contrasting front and back compositions so that each angle tells a different story.
Inspired by the depth and drama of modern art, this elongated midi style blends rich blocks of cream, crimson and warm earth tones, creating a bold yet elegant composition on the body. Oversized, detachable tactile shoulder detailing adds volume and presence, while the fitted column shape elongates the silhouette before finishing with expressive fringing at the hem.

TheBigSleeve cardigan is hand-crafted from start to finish in Ireland, using the softest baby alpaca yarn, held with a strand of kid mohair and silk. It’s a light, airy texture that feels like butter against the skin.
Originally designed in 2020, TheBigSleeve, with its dramatic billowy sleeves, easy-to-style shape and light, soft-as-a-cloud texture returns due to popular demand - and indeed demand for a cardigan version of the piece. Layer it with a peter pan collar shirt and pants, a simple tee and satin skirt, or crossed over and tucked into jeans.

The Studio Original
The reference model of TheBigSleeve Cardigan is the ‘Studio Original’ design. This base design is around 50-55cm long and is as pictured. It comes in Blue, Pink or Pearl Grey (photos for illustrative purposes). Other colours will be a part of the ‘Bespoke’ option below.

Do you love it but would like it longer, shorter, or in another colour? For the first time, Miss She’s Got Knits is excited to offer a couture service, in an effort to marry the time, skill and effort of pattern design, and skilled work of professional craftspeople with the desire to have a truly bespoke piece hand-crafted with your own personal preferences.

You can pay a deposit on all Miss She’s Got Knits commissions, including TheBigSleeve Cardigan. Simply choose ‘Secure my place on the commission list’ and your design and wool will be kept for you for a time that suits you best.

65% Alpaca, 28% Polyamide, 7% Wool (bulk yarn); 75% Mohair, 25% Silk (secondary yarn)

100% hand knit and made from 71% Superfine Brushed Alpaca wool (which gives a mohair-like appearance with non of the associated itch!) it is a light and airy piece. It is not a chunky, tight wool, and is usually worn with a light coloured top underneath.
This piece is one size, approx. 70cm across the front, 70cm across the back and 70cm long when laid flat. To understand the dimensions it is recommended to use a measuring tape to compare the sizing with a jumper you have at home.
