From the Founder
Hello, I’m Karen, founder of Miss She’s Got Knits.
I’m based in Dublin, and MSGK began in a way many meaningful things do; quietly, and without much expectation.
I first learned to knit as a child in school, when a group of parents came in to teach us the basics. My mother volunteered, and I was immediately drawn to it. I made what was meant to be a scarf, though at the time I was convinced it was something far more imaginative.
Creativity was always present in my life. As a teenager, I spent time sewing, altering clothes, and making pieces of my own from whatever materials I could find. I loved fashion and design, though I never imagined I would one day create a label of my own.
Years later, during the pandemic, I found myself with an unexpected pause from work and more time than usual. My mother gathered together some yarn I had left untouched for years and suggested I begin knitting again. What started as a distraction quickly became something much more significant.
I became deeply interested in the process of making garments by hand; in colour, proportion, texture, and shape. I began creating my own designs and patterns, and soon friends were asking me to make pieces for them. In late 2020, I started Miss She’s Got Knits on Instagram as a place to share that work.
From there, the brand grew naturally.
Knitting is an intentionally slow craft, and that is part of what I value most about it. Each piece requires time, attention, and care. I often think of it as a form of design in its purest sense; building something beautiful, practical, and lasting from yarn and imagination.
The first time I saw someone wearing one of my jumpers, I understood that I had found the work I wanted to do.
Today, Miss She’s Got Knits is a modern knitwear label rooted in craftsmanship, individuality, and joy. I’m interested in reimagining traditional techniques in a contemporary way, creating pieces that feel distinctive yet timeless.
As the business has grown, I’ve also had the privilege of working with a small team of talented local knitters including, in one very special case, my own mother. Their skill and care help ensure every garment is made to the highest standard.
My hope is to continue building MSGK thoughtfully and with longevity in mind, creating knitwear to be worn, loved, and kept for years to come.
Thank you for being here.

The Mission
Protecting a traditional craft
At the heart of MSGK is a commitment to preserving the value of traditional crafts. Hand-knitting remains a defining part of the brand, not only for the beauty and character it brings to each piece, but for the skill, patience, and knowledge it represents. Alongside this, some garments are hand-loomed, while every piece is carefully hand-finished incorporating sewn elements that add structure and refinement.
In a world increasingly shaped by speed and mass production, MSGK believes there is lasting importance in making things slowly, thoughtfully, and by hand, keeping these techniques alive while giving them a modern place in contemporary wardrobes.
Rooted in Ireland
Miss She’s Got Knits is proud to be part of a new generation of Irish fashion brands celebrating creativity on this island. Ireland has a rich heritage of making, from knitwear and weaving to tailoring, crochet, and textile craft, and those traditions continue to offer both inspiration and identity today. By designing and producing locally, the brand seeks to support Irish craftsmanship, champion skilled makers, and contribute to a vibrant contemporary fashion scene rooted in substance as much as style. Each piece carries something of that story: modern design shaped by heritage, individuality informed by place, and clothing that reflects the character, warmth, hope and creative spirit of Ireland.
Approachable exclusivity
It is Miss She’s Got Knits’ belief that luxury does not need distance or formality to hold its value, which is why we approach design with warmth, openness, and respect, creating an experience that feels personal rather than intimidating.
The brand is built on the idea that people should feel comfortable asking questions, whether about fit, materials, pricing, or the making process, and receive honest, thoughtful answers in return.
Fashion shouldn’t feel rigid or inaccessible, and sustainable fashion, too, should feel open and attainable rather than daunting.
By focusing on craftsmanship, transparency, and genuine connection, Miss She’s Got Knits aims to create clothing that feels special without feeling untouchable.
