Special Commission: The Soft Riot Skirt

The Soft Riot Skirt is one of the most ambitious and specialised pieces ever created by MISS SHE’S GOT KNITS - a collector’s garment that exists somewhere between knitwear, textile art and couture craftsmanship.

Hand-loomed in Ireland using an exceptionally soft alpaca wool blend, the skirt begins with a sculptural single-colour base before transforming entirely from the knee down into a dramatic explosion of individually hand-applied fringing in layered tones and vibrant colour. Movement becomes part of the design itself, with every strand responding uniquely to the body in motion.

Created entirely by hand in the studio by MSGK founder Karen, each skirt requires an extensive and deeply personal making process. Due to the level of craftsmanship and studio time involved, only a very small number of pieces can be produced each year.

Designed as a true statement garment for collectors, events and extraordinary dressing moments, The Soft Riot Skirt celebrates individuality, theatrical femininity and the emotional power of handmade fashion.
